The Long Game

Mobile Performance • Lawrence, KS

A Doctor of Physical Therapy, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and personal trainer who comes to you, wherever you are in Lawrence, KS.

I’ve worked with professional athletes keeping their edge, collegiate athletes pushing for more, masters athletes defying the calendar, and everyday people who just want to get back to doing what they love. Whatever your level, the approach is the same: intentional, specific, built for the long game.

Starting Point
Where Do You Begin?
Answer 5 quick questions and I’ll point you to the right starting place.
1 of 5 — What’s bringing you here today?
My body hurts and I need relief — now
I want to get stronger and move better
My golf game is suffering and I think my body is the problem
I’m not sure — I just know something needs to change
2 of 5 — How would you describe your current situation?
I wake up stiff, sore, or in pain more days than not
I’m staying active but not making progress
I used to perform at a high level and want to get back there
I play golf and my body is starting to limit my game
3 of 5 — What does a win look like for you in 90 days?
Moving without pain and getting through my day without thinking about it
Stronger, more capable, and seeing real results from my effort
More distance, better rotation, and playing without compensating
I just want to feel like myself again
4 of 5 — How long have you been dealing with this?
It just started — acute issue
I’ve noticed it getting worse over a golf season
It’s been a while — this is a pattern, not a fluke
I’ve managed it for years but I’m done accepting it
5 of 5 — What have you tried so far?
Nothing yet — looking for the right starting point
I’ve worked on my swing, but the body keeps getting in the way
I’ve seen other providers but haven’t found a lasting solution
I’ve been pushing through it and it’s not working

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Manual Physical Therapist, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist based in Lawrence, KS. I come to you: your home, your gym, your course, because that’s where real life happens.

I grew up in sports and never left. I cheered collegiately at the University of Kansas, which taught me early what it means to train seriously, perform under pressure, and trust the people in your corner. That foundation never went away.

Since then I’ve worked with collegiate athletes competing for national championships, former professional athletes maintaining the standards they built over careers, and everyday people who just want to get back to doing what they love. The level changes. The approach doesn’t change: intentional, specific, built to last.

I still train hard myself. I push my own limits in the weight room, play the sports I love, and test the same methods on myself that I bring to clients. I don’t coach from the sideline. I know what it feels like to work for something.

“You can’t cut down a redwood in one swing — there isn’t a quick fix. It’s the long game — a body built for resilience and time. And I’m here for all of it.”

The Process
The Redwood Growth Model
Every client moves through three phases. You can’t skip to the canopy without building the roots first.
1
The Root
The Evaluation
“A redwood doesn’t grow tall without deep roots. Neither does your performance.”
Before we build anything, I need to understand your foundation: how your body moves, where it compensates, what it’s been quietly working around. The evaluation isn’t paperwork. It’s the most important hour of the entire process.

I assess your movement patterns, joint mobility, strength asymmetries, and history. What I find shapes everything that follows. Programs built without this step are guesswork. Programs built with it are specific, safe, and designed to compound.
This is where roots form.Clinical clarity. A baseline that everything else is measured against.
2
The Trunk
Consistency & Habits
“A redwood’s trunk doesn’t grow in one season. It grows ring by ring.”
This is the phase most people skip in favor of intensity. Consistency beats occasional heroics every single time. Your body adapts to what you repeatedly expose it to, not to what you do once and abandon.

In this phase you build the habits, movement patterns, and progressive load that your body learns to trust. Sessions are purposeful. Every rep has a reason. Progress is tracked, adjusted, and compounded.
This is where strength becomes durable. The adaptation phase. Rings forming. Patterns changing.
3
The Canopy
Peak Performance & Longevity
“A redwood at full height isn’t fragile. It weathers storms, resists fire, and outlasts everything around it.”
This is where the work pays off. You move without thinking about it. You perform without compensating. You recover faster, train harder, and feel capable in your body in a way that compounds with age instead of declining against it.

This isn’t a finish line. It’s a standard you maintain and keep raising.
This is what the long game looks like.Durable. Resilient. Built to last longer than everything around it.
The Compounding Effect
What Does 1% Better Look Like?
A redwood doesn’t grow a foot overnight. It grows 1% at a time, season after season, and ends up the tallest living thing on earth.

Specialty Equipment & Technology
The Tools in Your Corner
Not chosen at random. Chosen because they give us data, precision, and outcomes that guesswork can’t.
Velocity Based Training
OVR
Most people train by feel. VBT measures how fast the bar actually moves, giving us objective data on power output, fatigue, and readiness every single rep. When the velocity drops, we know your nervous system is tapped. When it’s up, we push. No more guessing whether you had a good session. We know.
New research shows that power — not just strength — is one of the strongest predictors of longevity and functional independence as we age. Being strong matters. Being powerful matters more.
Best for
Adults who want to stay capable, independent, and ahead of the aging curve. If you want to move fast, recover well, and keep doing the things you love well into your later years. This is the tool that tells us whether your training is actually building that.
Force & Isometric Testing
Tindeq
Strength testing doesn’t have to happen in a gym with a barbell. The Tindeq lets us measure force output precisely: during isometric exercises, rehab progressions, and at baseline so we have real numbers to track against. If something changes, we see it in the data before you feel it in your performance.
Best for
Adults tracking strength progress over time, clients in rehab measuring return-to-activity readiness, and anyone who wants objective benchmarks instead of just how something feels.
Blood Flow Restriction Training
BFR
BFR uses a specialized cuff to partially restrict blood flow during low-load exercise, producing strength and muscle gains that normally require much heavier weights. The research is clear: significant improvements in muscle size, strength, and function at loads that don’t stress healing tissue.
Best for
Post-surgical rehab (ACL, joint replacement), older adults managing joint pain, anyone who can’t tolerate heavy loading but needs to maintain or build strength, and adults managing in-season or in-life load without breaking down.
Functional Dry Needling + E-Stim
Dry Needling
A thin needle goes directly into a trigger point in the muscle. Adding electrical stimulation cycles the muscle through contraction and relaxation, driving deeper release, increasing blood flow, and resetting the pain signals keeping it locked up.
Why you might need it
That stubborn knot that won’t release no matter how much you stretch or foam roll. The spot that’s always tight. The pain that keeps coming back. The movement that just won’t loosen up no matter what you try. If your body has been holding onto something and won’t let go. This is often what finally gets it to release. A quick reset, and you’re back in the game.

Redwoods grow in groves, and so do good habits. When someone you refer signs on and purchases any package, you both receive a $50 credit toward a future package. Credits are non-cash, non-transferable, non-stackable, and expire in 90 days. Referral must be noted at booking. Open to any client, past or present.
Group & Team

Team Training & Group Performance

Built for youth sports teams from youth leagues through high school.

This isn’t a group fitness class. It’s structured, progressive performance training built around your team’s sport, schedule, and season. Whether you’re preparing for a season, building a foundation in the offseason, or identifying what’s holding your athletes back. This is where it starts.

What a Cycle Looks Like
6–8 week blocks of progressive strength and movement work, built around your sport’s demands. Each cycle builds on the last. Athletes learn to move better, absorb force, and express power in ways that show up on the field, court, or course.
Team Strength Assessments
Before we build anything, we test. Objective strength and force data, not guesswork, tells us where each athlete is starting, where the gaps are, and what to prioritize. At partnering facilities, we can incorporate Vald force plate data including jump mechanics, landing patterns, and bilateral asymmetries that most youth programs never see.
Who This Is For
Youth sports teams from recreational leagues through high school. Football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, golf. If your athletes move, this program has something for them.
Pricing
Group and team rates vary based on roster size, session frequency, and cycle length. Reach out to build something that fits your team and your budget.
